Adopt a Donkey (medium coat)

Donkey (medium coat) Donkey

BRIGHTY the Donkey needs a home

Meet Brighty!

This sweet donkey is looking for a new barn to call home with his sweetheart, Misty. These 2 have been together through some difficult times, but are still full of love to give a new family! Both Brighty and Misty enjoy time with people, especially if the person has a piece of carrot or some nice brushing to offer.

As with any equines, Brighty and Misty will require regular hoof trimmings from a farrier, however Brighty will need some extra TLC for his hooves. Unfortunately, before they made their way to us, Brighty''s hooves had not been trimmed for quite some time, which resulted in having substantial overgrowth. To get him back to good posture, he will need his hooves tended to every 6 weeks for about a year, at which point he might be able to go for longer intervals between trimmings.

We ask to see a photo of Brighty and Misty''s new housing set up before they go home. A large stall for them to share with regular access to a paddock would be ideal.

Their adoption fees will be $400 each, and their new family should have a vet picked out that specializes in large animals. If you''re looking for a couple of fine equines, come meet Brighty and Misty today!
